After the qualifying races are over, Fallon Sharrock and Beau Greaves will take centre stage in the Women’s World Matchplay in July.

They will compete in the Empress Ballroom for the afternoon, alongside contestants including four world champions, for the top prize of £10,000.
The field is made up of eight players whose rankings for the year have been determined based on prize money won in 24 PDC Women’s Series events since July last year, with reigning champion Greaves returning to Blackpool as the top seed.
Greaves was a huge winner on her debut 12 months ago and has since won a further nine women’s series titles, reaffirming her status as the top player in women’s tennis.
The reigning champions take on Sheldon in the opening match, with the Irish youngster returning to the Winter Gardens after missing out on last year’s glamorous tournament.
Sheldon takes part after Eileen de Graaff, who was eighth in the final 12 months merit rankings, informed the PDC that she would be unable to compete in Blackpool due to a prior commitment.
The draw will also see the 2022 champions face off Sherlock Playing against a three-time Lakeside Girls champion Anastasia Dobromyslova The much anticipated quarter-finals.
Sherrock recorded an impressive victory in the tournament’s inaugural edition and has won four of the last five events in the 2023 Women’s Series before adding two more titles in 2024.
Meanwhile, Dobromyslova attracted attention by reaching consecutive women’s series finals last September and will be making her first appearance in Blackpool as the seventh seed.
3rd place Lisa Ashton On Sunday, she won the women’s series for the second time in a row. Suzuki Mirai She was awarded the Order of Merit and as a reward will play in the quarter-finals against Wales’ Leanne O’Sullivan.
Ashton will maintain her ever-present record at Blackpool alongside Sherrock, while O’Sullivan will also be returning to Blackpool after appearing in two Women’s Series Finals in the past 12 months.
The other quarterfinal will see 2023 runner-up Suzuki take on the two-time champion. Noah Lynn Van LeuvenThe winner of the match between Greaves and Sheldon will face off in the semi-finals.
Japanese star Suzuki will return to Winter Gardens as the fourth seed after a strong start to 2024 that has seen her tally of women’s series wins rise to six.
Meanwhile, fifth seed Van Leuven has been on a roll, winning two women’s series titles in March and April after her breakthrough Challenge Tour victory.
The winner of the Women’s World Matchplay will qualify for November’s Grand Slam of Darts and the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, as well as win £10,000 in first place prize money.
