Emma Chamberlain is no longer a beauty newbie.
The multihyphenate and global ambassador for Lancôme, who signed a deal with the French heritage brand last year, will be joining forces with Lancôme from the second season of her content series “How to say beauty in French''. It has solidified its position in the category. Friday.
“Season 1 was like, 'OK, Emma's a newbie.' She's new to the Lancôme world and she's learning,” Chamberlain told WWD. “Season 2 was like, let's really dig into who this brand is. We shot everything in the most beautiful house I've ever been in my life.”
The time on set at Le Domaine de la Rose, the brand's property in the south of France, was more work than play. “We were just hanging out in this house, playing with makeup and flowers. It felt like Emma's playtime,” she told Lisa Eldridge, global creative director of makeup at Lancôme. I said with a nod.
“The rows of roses lined up on this property, the kind farmers who are passionate about roses. It felt like I was on a family farm in the south of France. I felt very at home with Lisa. She's always teaching me so much about how to choose the right shade for me, like which lip looks good on me. She's my makeup mom,” Chamberlain continued.
Although Chamberlain has signed deals with many brands, collaborating with Warby Parker last year and is a regular on the front row at international fashion weeks, she still chooses who she works with wisely. There is.
“It's all organic products in my daily life,” she said. “This industry has exposed me to so many great brands that who knows if I would have tried them otherwise. We keep in touch with each other and see what we can do together. It was a combination of discovering the brand and falling in love with it by asking questions.”
What attracted her to Lancôme was its combination of innovation and ease of use.
“Lancome is all about technology. When I went to the store in Paris, they were scanning my face, skin and eyelashes with an iPad. And they showed me some very fascinating beauty techniques. It taught me aspects of the game that have improved in terms of development,” Chamberlain said. “These pieces of advice have been incorporated into my life…This is what makes Lancôme special. It's about why something works for you.”
Among her favorites are the brand's newest lipsticks, the Lovesol Rouge Intimate Blush Nude Collection, which debuted this month and cost $35 each.
“It's a little darker and deeper, but you're still in the blush world. It's brownish and warm. And there's something about these colors that gives you a cool-girl vibe,” Chamberlain said. Ta. “These are the perfect shades for the colder months, giving you a cool, edgy vibe.”
