The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Mrs. Monisado Afue, said this in Ado Ekiti while distributing safety equipment to heads of security agencies in the state.

“I urge our security agencies here today to step up their efforts and actively utilize the equipment released to them in order to provide adequate security to protect the lives and property of our people. I would like to appeal to you.

In his submission, the Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency Director-General, Oludare Asaolu, commended the Federal Government for partnering with the state government in distributing cash gifts and relief materials to the victims of the fire and storm disaster in Ekiti.
“You may recall that in January-February 2024, students and teachers were kidnapped and two traditional rulers were killed in our state. In the wake of these ugly incidents, , Governor Biodun Oyebunji declared a state of emergency regarding security.
