A clever mom tells us how micellar water can reduce strip lashes by up to 25 times.
Falcie is designed to be worn about five times before falling apart due to the adhesive used to attach it to the eyelid.
But according to Casey Major Vance, there’s a simple way to extend your lifespan using a little micellar water.
The 32-year-old mother of four young children is known as Major Mom Hux on social media.
She earned this title by coming up with life hacks for everything from cleaning to parenting to traveling.
Her latest hack is for beauty fanatics who love dressing up but hate spending money on makeup.
“Did you know you can save money by reusing your strip lashes up to 25 times?” she said on Instagram.
“All you need to do is clean them, remove the glue, let them dry, and then comb them.
“Eyelashes are expensive, but when you cleanse them, they really do look like new.”
Casey soaks the eyelashes in a small amount of micellar water and uses tweezers to gently remove the adhesive.
She leaves them to try on the towels, combs them out with a spoolie, and then puts them back in the box.
The brilliant columnist Gemma Bird was quick to comment that she “does that all the time”.
“I didn’t know this!” Amy Elsgood added.
“I’m definitely going to try this.
“This will save me a lot of money – thank you!”
“I’ve been doing this for years,” declared another viewer.
“It’s a great way to maintain the lashes you love.”
Some called Casey a “genius” and “a lifesaver.”
Last month, the content creator also published a 5p hack perfect for busy women who don’t have time to scrub their makeup brushes and sponges after every use.
