Donald Glover fights to survive

The trailer shows rapper and actor Donald Glover comically fighting for his life in a post-apocalyptic world. Bandō Stone and the New Worldhis latest film.

Actor, writer and producer Glover stars as Bando Stone in the trailer for the film, which he directed and stars in, and which sees him escaping giant animals and sci-fi lasers in a tropical Jurassic Island-like setting, with a soundtrack produced by his alter-ego Childish Gambino.

Former pop star Bando Stone, with little combat experience to fend off strange sci-fi monsters, is paired with a fellow survivor and her son, played by Jessica Allan. At one point in the trailer, when asked if he can shoot, hunt, fish or set traps, Glover, clearly having fun playing the character of Bando Stone, breathlessly replies, “I can’t.”

“I can sing,” he proudly asserts, to which Alan’s faceless character scornfully replies, “You’re useless.” The trio can only roam the tropical island at night, because that’s when their son tells them the monsters “come out.”

“It’s a little creepy, but I don’t mind,” Bando Stone replied, somewhat unconvincingly.

Official Summary Bandō Stone and the New World The film, which has yet to be released, sees Glover’s character face off against a horde of creepy computer-generated animals. The trailer also features the song “Lithonia,” which is due for release on July 2.

Bandō Stone and the New World It was written by Evie Wilder and produced by RCA Records and Childish Gambino through Glover’s new production company Gilga. The trailer does not include a commercial release date.
