Wireless power sharing, also known as reverse wireless charging, takes advantage of the wireless charging technology built into your phone. When you enable power sharing, you are telling your smartphone to send power instead of drawing it. Power sharing is based on the widely used Qi charging standard, so you can charge almost any device that supports Qi wireless charging. This includes phones, headphones, smartwatches, etc.
Not all phones support power sharing. This feature is available on Google Pixel and Samsung smartphones. For Samsung phones, this feature is called PowerShare and is included in Galaxy S10 and newer models. Google has started including battery share feature on Pixel 5 (excluding 6a and 7a).
How to use Battery Share on your Google Pixel phone
Power sharing works even when using the case. Here’s how to power another device with your Pixel.
Step 1. Enable Battery Share in Settings
Swipe from top to bottom Home Screen Tap gear icon at the bottom setting App.
On the settings screen, battery Select an option and then select battery share. You can choose a cutoff point between 10% and 50% at which your Pixel will stop back charging another device. To preserve the battery life of your girlfriend’s Pixel, we recommend setting it to 25%.
Tap the on/off slider and slide it to the on position to enable Battery Share.
Step 2. Start sharing power
Be sure to line up your other devices with your Pixel’s back panel to make sure they’re charging (usually a light or an on-screen indicator). For example, the iPhone I used for testing instantly displayed a lightning icon to indicate it was wirelessly charging.
Note: If your Pixel struggles to find your device for 30 seconds or encounters a placement issue, Battery Share will smartly turn off.

How to use PowerShare on Samsung mobile phones
Your Samsung phone must be at least 30% charged for Wireless PowerShare to work. Below that, the feature is automatically disabled.
Step 1. Enable PowerShare in settings
Please access your mobile phone setting. Tap. battery Select an option, then wireless power sharing option.
When Wireless PowerShare is activated, it will flash blue on the device.
Step 2. Start sharing power
Place your phone and the device you’re charging back to back, check the connection on your Samsung phone’s screen, and tap got it. The charging lamp will turn red. Verify that the notification panel displays a charging message and a green Wireless PowerShare icon. The light will turn off when fully charged.

Although reverse wireless charging effectively transforms your phone into a wireless charging pad, we found that it drains your phone’s battery quickly. So if you give another device a quick boost, don’t be surprised if your phone doesn’t make it to the end of the day.
