What does Miu Miu’s bookish, sexy, slightly disheveled muse smell like? That’s what the Italian fashion house is trying to get to the bottom of with its latest venture. Miu Miu has just signed a long-term licensing agreement with L’Oréal to create luxury beauty products, starting with a fragrance range.
What else does the collection include?
So far, only fragrance products have been announced, but if we’re lucky, we’ll also be looking at makeup, skin care, and maybe even hair care. We envision sophisticated, boundary-pushing packaging with playful, easy-to-apply lipsticks and blushes for today’s time-poor muses. What do you think Miu Miu’s beauty will look like?
Following in Prada’s footsteps
The deal with L’Oréal signals the fashion house’s intention to push its brand into the realm of luxury beauty, and if it’s as successful as Miu Miu’s ready-to-wear, we think we’re in for something extraordinary. you will get something. For L’Oréal, this is an important addition to a rapidly growing portfolio that includes Miu Miu’s sister brand Prada, as well as Diesel, Aesop, Yves Saint Laurent and Giorgio Armani.
Where Prada leads, Miu Miu seems to follow. In 2023, Miu Miu’s sister brand launched its own fragrance and beauty range last year with Emma Watson as the face of its Paradox campaign. Who do you think will star in the Miu Miu fragrance campaign? Mia Goth, Emma Corrin, Demi Singleton or Sydney Sweeney? All guesses are correct, but only time will tell.
When will the collection be available?
As previously mentioned, Miu Miu’s first beauty products are expected to be a range of luxury fragrances. These are expected to be available in 2025, so that’s still a long way off. But if it’s something Ms. Prada has in mind, we’ll be happy to wait.
