The Coronation Street star proposed to his girlfriend with a romantic photo – but he’s a very different character to the villain he plays.

Fans of the ITV soap opera have been left shocked as the man behind Lauren Bolton’s disappearance has finally been revealed.

The actor took to his Instagram on Sunday to reveal that he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Roberta.

He captioned the post, “Finally got her a woman of integrity.”

“We celebrated by drinking in the hot tub, but Roberta swimming I take out my shorts from my suitcase.

Callum’s Coronation Street co-stars were quick to congratulate him, with Lucy Fallon commenting with a heart symbol: “Congratulations!” Emoji.

Shanique Sterling Brown, who plays Dee Dee, added, “Congratulations, what a beautiful couple.”

Vicki Myers, who plays DS Swain, commented: “Congratulations!”

He shared a video of Roberta and Shanique laughing together, after which he is seen standing expressionless holding his bag.
