Woman and two children hospitalized after ‘corrosive substance attack’
A mother and daughter suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a corrosive substance was thrown in their faces.
A 31-year-old mother and her three-year-old daughter were rushed to hospital after the attack in Clapham, south London, on Wednesday night.

Officers were called to the scene on Lesser Avenue, near Clapham Common, at around 7.25pm following reports of an incident.

The three injured family members in the attack were staying at a nearby hotel.
A spokesperson said: “Staff at the Belvedere Hotel supported the efforts of emergency services, provided assistance to affected guests and sought to reassure other hotel guests of their safety and well-being.”

Met chief condemns ‘horrible’ attack
