Cadbury World has today announced that it will be discontinuing a popular ride. The Bournville attraction has also announced a new immersive ride, Cadbury Chocolate Quest, which will open later this year in its place.
This comes as Cadabra closes its doors after 27 years at Cadbury World. Since opening in 1997, more than 14 million guests have experienced this ride, including Princess Anne, Adele, Simon Pegg, Gwyneth Paltrow, and more.
The new Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride is part of a wider £8 million investment in Cadbury World. Merlin Entertainment, which operates Alton Towers and Legoland, acquired Cadbury World in January 2023.

Cadbury Chocolate Quest is scheduled to open this spring, but no official date has been disclosed. In this ride, families are set on a mission by Cadbury character Fredo, then hop into a Cadbury car and go on an immersive and fun quest to laser zap up all the ingredients needed to make a dairy bar. can be completed.
After traveling through a chocolatey quest, guests exit the vehicle and receive a Cadbury treat made with all the ingredients they ‘collected’. 3D sets and virtual screens combine to bring the ride to life with sound, smell, light and heat for an interactive and sensory experience.

In addition to new rides, Merlin is also investing in extensive enhancements to the interactive Have A Go Zone, a completely revamped Bournville Experience, and an upgraded Advertising Avenue. You can also experience a 4D chocolate adventure cinema and chocolate making demonstrations.
