BYD’s models BYD SEAL and BYD DOLPHIN outperformed a large number of competitors and secured a spot at the World Automobile Awards. It won the top three spots in both the “World Car of the Year” and “World Urban Car” categories and advanced to the final round. BYD made history as the first and only Chinese automaker to be shortlisted in the top three in the World Car of the Year category.

In 2023, BYD SEAL and BYD DOLPHIN achieved 5-star ratings in Euro NCAP and ANCAP tests. Notably, the BYD SEAL was also nominated for the final European Car of the Year in 2024.
