If you feel like the long winter is over and want to enhance your beauty, you’re not alone.
Especially if you’re looking for an escape from everyday life that balances work and play while looking and feeling your best.
Here, experts share top tips to strengthen your self-care habits…
Skin care with benefits
“Skin care is an important part of my self-care routine,” says Boots beauty specialist Leanna Zaman. “After a busy day, it gives you time to stop and reflect while your skin absorbs its benefits.”
“If you don’t already have a conscious habit, try dedicating 10 minutes both in the morning and evening to cleanse your skin and reconnect with yourself,” suggests Zaman.

“It doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective; just take a few extra minutes and massage the moisturizer into it,” advises Zaman. “Your skin will thank you, too.”

Dr. Mary Somerrad, consultant dermatologist and spokesperson for Vichy Laboratories, added: “To keep your skin looking fresher, we highly recommend a consistent, effective, evidence-based skin care routine.” I agree.”
She also suggests adding a hydrating serum to plump up your skin’s appearance and enhance its glow. Summerrad then says to use a moisturizer chosen according to her skin care concerns.

well-being aroma
In addition to skin care, don’t forget about body care, Zaman advises. “More and more consumers are hacking their dopamine levels by enhancing their daily beauty basics with uplifting scents, textures and colors.”

She suggests trying body butters and lotions with uplifting scents. “Scent is an important part of experiencing a product because it transports us to another place, time, and mindset.”

Shower and bath care
“Try making small changes to your daily routine to incorporate healthier habits into your week,” suggests Zaman. “For example, simply replacing your morning shower with a luxurious evening bath will add even more valuable moments of self-care and rejuvenation.”

She says embracing aromatherapy proponents like essential oils can also help restore and relax, turning your daily bath into a relaxing ritual or spa-like experience.
“I strongly believe that every time you take a bath, it’s an opportunity to turn it into a mini-spa moment,” enthuses Chrissy Rucker, founder of The White Company.
“At the end of a busy day, there’s nothing better than a nice soak, even if it’s only for 10 minutes.”

“Light your favorite scented candle, take a nice bath, dim the lights and relax,” she continues. “And a few moments of massaging with a nourishing body lotion will give your skin a glow, before slipping into a snug robe.”

Zaman agrees. “Incorporating scented candles into your nightly routine can create a tranquil atmosphere, calming your mind, and encouraging rest.”

She’s a fan of candles infused with sleep-inducing lavender and soothing eucalyptus scents. She says, “The scent is reminiscent of rest, so it relaxes you and helps you get a perfect night’s sleep.
“These simple sensory experiences can help reframe your mindset, whether you’re looking to lift your spirits or relax after a long day,” adds Zaman.
