Shortly after Chris Bumstead’s brother-in-law Ian Barriere announced his retirement, 34-year-old Brett Wilkin also dashed the hopes of many bodybuilding fans. Wilkin won the 2022 Big Man Weekend Pro, making him the first bodybuilder to qualify for the 2023 Mr. Olympia. However, due to digestive problems, he was unable to participate in the contest.

Wilkin’s intense training sessions have always fascinated the fitness world, including four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler. Because of this, the former Mr. Olympia publicly announced how heartbroken he was that Wilkin was not included in the 2023 Mr. Olympia. However, Wilkin revealed his return by posting another intense training video.

As well as a simple 5 plate, Wilkin was recently seen using knee wraps and bands to make his training sessions super intense. Additionally, The Butcher, known for his audio fitness sessions, has noticed the same trend when it comes to exercise. In the caption of the post, he also mentions that he is back to his regular job. he wrote, “Going back to Bullhit…”

Wilkin also pointed out that he had been shouting during intense training sessions. Maybe that’s why he lost his voice. So he wrote, “I may have lost my voice today. I wonder why.” However, some of his fans pointed out that this was not the only time he lost his voice.

Almost everyone in the fitness world was shocked by such a powerful video by Brett Wilkin. One fan suggested a way to stay motivated thanks to Brett. “Brett taught me what intensity is.” Someone else reminded the fitness world that unlike last time, 2024 is not out of his hands. “We don’t need to mess up this 2024.”

It’s not easy to deal with failures that are judged not by your own ability but by the difficulty of the situation. Still, Brett Wilkin didn’t lose motivation and instead showed a better and improved look as he prepares for the upcoming Mr. Olympia.
