Three priorities define the foundation of David Rubinstein’s sales leadership vision: Revenue, Growth, and Happiness.

As for his second priority, his ideology follows the idiom of “leaving the world better than you found it,” but is specific to the people on his team.

He also asks new hires to use three adjectives to describe themselves, which not only helps new hires understand how they see themselves, but where they want to grow. He said it was also helpful for understanding.
“Finally,” he added, elaborating on his third priority. Do they enjoy what they do, enjoy working with them, and feel like they’re making a difference? That’s big for me. ”

Built In spoke with Rubinstein about how he builds a culture where individuals not only meet their goals, but exceed them.

I’m very passionate about building team culture, and team culture begins the moment someone says yes to joining us. I personally choose to call them the day they accept the offer. It’s all about creating a direct connection between me, the new team member, and the rest of the team.
We encourage everyone on your team to reach out and support new team members before they start. It’s not just about being welcoming, it’s about actively helping each other. I’m always looking for people who naturally want to do the right thing and think beyond themselves. I love seeing my team members motivated and aiming high, but I also truly enjoy seeing my teammates succeed.
On our team, celebrating and supporting each other’s wins is a big part of what we do. It creates an atmosphere of optimism and allows everyone to strive consistently. This is very important. Because this is not just the work we do; how we do it together. That’s what makes us successful.
