Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer declared Britain was back playing a leading role on the world stage as he closed his first international summit as prime minister.
He said the British government would “reset” Britain’s relationship with Europe, take back leadership on climate change and “engage more deeply” with developing countries in the global south.
Sir Keir’s comments came at the end of a summit in Washington DC to mark NATO’s 75th anniversary, where he said allies were united in support of Ukraine and that a Russian victory was “unthinkable”.
