Boy Meets World star Trina McGee insists her pregnancy at 54 was “totally natural.”
The actress, who has three grown children, explained to People magazine that she took a “holistic” approach, which she called a “miracle.”
Trina revealed that the news of the baby’s arrival is still a “shock” to her.
She is currently pregnant with her fourth child, and her first with her husband of 16 years, Marcello Thedford, and revealed that she is 12 weeks pregnant and still does not know the baby’s gender.
Her comments come after her former “Boy Meets World” co-star Maitland Ward boldly claimed her pregnancy, at 54, might be a publicity stunt.

Trina told the outlet: “I kept saying, ‘Is this really happening?’ And I still do, ‘Is this really happening?’ But it is. And then I get sick and do weird things.” [and] It had something to do with pregnancy. And I thought, ‘This is really happening.'”
“And then I remember being pregnant 25 years ago and I’m like, wow, this is it. This is really happening. It’s amazing. It’s fantastic,” she added.
Trina said that compared to her previous pregnancies, this one was “very [much] It was like a miracle.
Trina is the mother of three children, Lamia, 31, Langston, 29, and Ezra, 25, with her ex-husband Courtland Davis.
She said that while she had previously been pregnant with her child, she had focused on her acting career, but that now she was “just relaxing.”
She points out that she’s “not as ambitious” as she was in her 20s, when she “worked all through her pregnancy.”
The star said this pregnancy has been getting more attention than her previous ones and she has work coming in.
“With a baby, there’s work coming in, calls coming in, a lot of different situations going on, so we’ll just see what happens,” she told the outlet.
“But now I have a baby and I don’t need to do anything else.”
Trina also revealed that she and her husband are launching a three-day wellness retreat in Belize to teach people how to be stress-free, and that she loves the country and its nature.
Trina and her husband Marcello have not yet decided on a name, with the actress saying they will wait to name the baby until it is born.
She revealed that her husband Marcello is “just amazing” and reacted “so lovingly” when she told him she was pregnant.
She added that Marcello was “the biggest supporter of me” during her pregnancy, that they have “put a lot of effort into our marriage” and that “he’s a good man.”
Trina, who played Angela Moore on the hit show from 1997 to 2000, revealed she is pregnant with her fourth child earlier this week, shocking fans by claiming she had conceived naturally after “reversing” menopause with natural remedies.
TV star turned adult film star Maitland Ward, 47, who played Rachel Maguire on the show, said she suspected Trina was joking about the pregnancy because there was a lack of “information or proof” about it.
Ward told TMZ: “I hate to say it, but my first thought was, this is April Fool’s. I hope it’s not a publicity stunt or anything.”
“I haven’t seen any proof or information… I hope she shows us her journey in the future because it’s a big thing that will help a lot of women and it’s very inspiring.”

She added, “I’ve always had a great relationship with Trina and I’m supportive of her pregnancy. I don’t think Trina planned it. This has to be an accident. I don’t think she would plan it.”
“This is something to celebrate. At first I thought it was a joke!”
“She should document it and let people know how it’s possible. I’d love to see that process.”
Trina claims that with the help of natural remedies and shamans she was able to reverse menopause, which enabled her to conceive a fourth child in her 50s.
The Boy Meets World star credited her success in getting pregnant again to natural remedies recommended by a “shaman” in Belize.
She claimed that a “low-stress environment” was part of what enabled her to reverse the early symptoms of menopause and have a child many years after her last birth.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight published earlier this month, she opened up about how well her fourth pregnancy is going after giving birth to three previous children, which she called “miraculous, beautiful and triumphant.”
Trina said they had hoped to expand their family and have a baby together.
“My husband and I have been married for 16 years and we’ve been saying for a long time that we wanted to have a baby,” she explained.
She recalled that she had “tried” to get pregnant naturally and even considered IVF before turning to natural treatments.
At the time, she explained that she was in her first year of menopause.
She explained that Thedford sought help from a Belizean “shaman” with a “cultural background” and worked with the Garifuna people to reverse the early stages of menopause.
She claimed that after she began taking the herbal medicine recommended to her in Belize and continued to live a healthy lifestyle, she and Thedford were able to conceive a baby.
Maggie also said that living in a less stressful environment improved her menopausal symptoms and enabled her to become pregnant.
“The most important thing for me is to avoid stress and stay as far away from negativity as possible, and that includes what we watch on TV and what we watch on our phones. As soon as you turn on a screen, there’s so much drama, violence and negativity,” she said.
“I wanted to be clear about what I was looking at when I turned on my screen,” she continued, “because for me, stress is the biggest thing.”
In an interview with the outlet, she said her fourth pregnancy has left her feeling hungry, nauseous and fatigued, but she is staying positive despite the side effects.
When asked how she feels at this time, Maggie said she feels “just pure joy.”
“I don’t really buy into any of the negativity that anybody might have to say,” she continued. “I’m very happy. I’m blessed. That’s all.”
“And all I’m worried about right now is getting this baby out. That’s my job.”
Maggie posted the happy news on Instagram in early June, accompanied by a performance of The Supremes’ 1964 hit, “Baby Love.”
“At the young age of 54, I found out I was pregnant,” she wrote over a simple background.
She told her 96,000 followers: “Please pray and bless for a safe delivery. Thank you.”
In the caption, she said she was “going to be off social media for a while.”
The actress shared pictures from her trip to Malacate Beach in the Central American country of Belize and appears to have shared the news of the baby’s arrival during her carefree vacation in Belize.
Maggie first met her husband nearly 30 years ago while filming the thriller “Daylight in Rome” starring Sylvester Stallone.
She and the actor-director married 16 years ago, after she starred in Boy Meets World.
Maggie also told the outlet that she had spoken to several former co-stars and crew members about her pregnancy, including Danielle Fishel, who had children at age 38 and 40.
Well, funny thing is, I did. [talk to them] “Before we announce it,” she said.
“I happened to be on a little business call with Danielle and we were all texting back and forth and I said, ‘By the way, I think I’m pregnant,’ and they were so gracious and so happy for me.”
