Hamza Shiras has 15 stoppages in 19 fights
Middleweight Hamza Silas put on an unstoppable performance to defeat Liam Williams in the first round in London.
The British fighter’s blistering speed allowed him to drop Williams twice, extending his unbeaten streak to 19 fights.
Sheeras, 24, made good on his promise to make a statement by stopping former world title challenger Williams.
“I had a lot of doubts about this fight. [who] I didn’t think I could keep up with a fighter of this caliber,” Sheeras said.
“I talk in the ring. When I get in here, I entertain.”
Sheelas’ hard jabs and power shots were too much for the Welshman, but Sheelas went down after the first minute and crashed to the floor again from a nice counter uppercut moments later.
Promoter Frank Warren congratulated Sheeras at ringside on a career-best performance by one of the brightest young stars against his most dangerous opponent to date.
Warren hinted at fellow Briton Chris Eubank Jr. as Sheeras’ next opponent and praised his fighter.
“His jab reminds me a lot of Tommy Hearns. He takes people down with that jab. His power is unbelievable,” Warren said.
“I truly believe in the birth of a star and I truly believe he will win the world title and hold it for as long as he wants.”

Anthony Yarde improved his record to 25-3.
On the Copper Box Arena undercard, Anthony Yarde earned an early win over Marko Nikolic, moving him closer to a matchup with long-time rival Joshua Bouatsi.
Bouatsi watched from ringside as Yarde blew Nikolic away in the third round thanks to a well-placed powerful body shot.
Yarde, 32, has an impressive knockout record with 24 stops in 25 wins.
Bouatsi joined Yarde ringside for a post-fight interview and quickly apologized for disrupting the moment, but both men confirmed that negotiations were underway for a match this summer.
“We both agreed to work it out,” Yard said.
