Gladiator returned to our screens last month in a BBC revival of the 1990s action game show.
The series aired its first episode on January 13 on BBC One, with an average audience of 8.37 million viewers.
Speaking on the BBC Breakfast show ahead of the series, one of the new Gladiators, known as Dynamite, admitted that athletes would pay tribute to the efforts of the contestants.
She said: “As natural athletes, we want to show young kids that it’s okay to be competitive and want to win, but it’s also okay to lose. I also want to show that.
“There is no point in disparaging or offending candidates.”
The 20-year-old full-time elite CrossFit athlete, whose real name is Emily Steele, is a “very nice person” on the show, but revealed that her villainous style character will be back.
