Beyoncé is entering a new era, and we’re not just talking about the music. After announcing her upcoming country album and new hair care line, the superstar has graced the covers of numerous magazines. The latest issue is the 24th issue of her CR Fashion Book and is titled “Audacious”. In one of her photos, she is posing in a graphic T-shirt cinched in a corset. In her photo, she is also wearing a skunk-colored mullet.
The look is faithful to the original version of the hairstyle, which is shorter in the front and sides, and longer in the back. In addition to the slight “grunge” elements she incorporates into her outfits, the mullet (and possibly the wig) is a salt and pepper shade that looks lighter in some parts, darker in others, and looks perfect in others. She blends the two shades to create a gorgeous shade of gray.
This look is a big change for the star, who can be seen more easily with her signature honey blonde curls and, more recently, a straight platinum look. Still, the bold changes had the desired effect. People all over the world keep talking about her beauty brand, Secred. “It’s always been my dream to create the finest luxury products,” Beyoncé told CR Fashion Book. “I wanted to combine the best scientific advances with authentic rituals from different traditions. I’m interested in solving real problems. I want to break down the myths and stereotypes about our hair. It feels like she’s entering a new chapter in her musical journey, a time of complete experimentation, and it’s fitting.
Already inspired? We thought so. Take a closer look at Beyoncé’s hair below. Please remember. As excited as you are about your own potential mullet transformation right now, it’s always best to consult a professional when deciding on a dramatic haircut. (You’ve been well warned.) CR Fashion Book Issue 24 will be available on newsstands on March 29th.
