- New York-based content creator Kelly Strzok reveals the trick in a TikTok clip
- Experts explain why you should actually use less product than you think
- She claimed her easy hacks helped her achieve a ‘bright and woke’ look
A makeup expert has revealed her hack for achieving flawless skin using concealer. At the end of the day, it’s all about using less product.
The tip was shared on TikTok this week by beauty and makeup guru Kelly Strzok. He is a creator based in New York and New Jersey and boasts over 644,000 followers on the platform.
Strzok often takes to social media, including YouTube, to share makeup tips, techniques, product reviews, and tutorials.
In her latest clip, the expert explained her easy hacks and how to use less product to get a “brighter and more awake” look.
“If you’re still using concealer like this, let me help you,” Strzok explained as she applied the product in the shape of large triangles under her eyes. This is a commonly used technique.
However, according to the experts themselves, this is not how to use concealer, since you can waste the product to maintain the same look.
“I love the bright, woke look this gives under the eyes, but you can literally get the exact same results using far less product. Let me show you,” she explained.
“I apply it to the inner and outer corners of the eyes, which helps lift the eyes. I apply a little more, focusing on what’s left on the bottom of my feet.”
While Strzok explained what to do, she demonstrated the simple technique herself.
“You get the exact same results, but you use a lot less product,” she explained as she blended the concealer using a Beautyblender sponge.
After she finished applying the product, Strzok compared two different techniques to viewers and showed off how it looked after blending.
I tried a technique where I applied concealer in a triangular shape on the right side, and applied less concealer on the left side.
“For example, can you tell the difference between left and right?” she asked.
“They look the same,” Strzok said.
However, in the comments section of her video, some people lamented that no matter what technique they try, they generally face the problem of wrinkles when using concealer.
“Girl, no matter what I do, it always gets wrinkled!” Help! ! ! ‘ someone wrote.
Another agreed: “Using a sponge or brush always makes it look dry.”
“Please fix the crease problem!” someone else typed.
But Strack, of course, has a solution to that vexing problem.
Last year, this content creator detailed a genius hack to prevent foundation from sticking to your face using a technique that takes just 10 seconds.
She first applied foundation to her face and used her fingers to work all the product into her skin.
With Strack, after applying your foundation, simply wet your makeup sponge and spritz your entire beauty tool with a setting spray.
She then applied it to her face, explaining that this technique is an easy key to avoiding a cakey look.
“This is what I do to get a smooth, perfect base that actually lasts,” Strzok explained in the video.
