The Australian brand has sold out of its ‘body sculpting’ kits three times after appearing on Kourtney Kardashian’s recommended gift list.
Beauty brand Biotyspa has been championed for its Body Sculpt Kit, an innovative product that promises shoppers the effects of a spa-like French lymphatic massage at home.
Customers who used the $135 kit claimed to notice a difference in the look and feel of their skin in just two weeks, and described the scent of the body oil as “divine.”
After the endorsement, one kit was sold every two minutes and the brand was out of stock for two months. This is the third time the brand has sold out worldwide.
The reality TV star included it in her “Poosh’s Holiday Gift Guide” last December.
The stimulating massage is designed to be used on the stomach, thighs and buttocks. The kit includes a sculpting kit, moisturizing shower gel, and firming body oil.
With daily use, the brand claims this kit can reduce the appearance of cellulite, increase blood circulation, and “sculpt” your body.
One mother who had a C-section birth started using the kit when she was 10 weeks postpartum and called it a “must have.”
“Since I wasn’t moving around as much, my whole body felt a lot looser, especially my stomach (obviously). I used this product for about two weeks and saw immediate results, so I’m hooked. ” she writes on the Biotyspa website.
“My baby is only 5 months old, but I already feel ready for bikini season!”
Co-founder Deborah Levy was “shocked” that the megastar was featuring the brand as part of her holiday gift guide, describing it as a “pinch moment”.
Ms Levy said: “Since the article and socials were published, there has been a huge uproar with Biotyspa sculpt kits selling every two minutes throughout the day.”
“We’ve sold out three times since then, which was totally unexpected. We’re so thrilled that the Kardashians discovered our amazing brand!”
This product has an average star rating of 4.9 out of 5 on the website, with satisfied customers leaving rave reviews.
“I’ve been using this duo for two weeks and I can already see my skin becoming smoother,” one person wrote.
“Divine. It was a little painful at first and I got some bruising at first (from sucking too hard), but once you get the hang of it it becomes a great shower ritual. The products all smell amazing and I get compliments from the oils. The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a big bottle.” said another.
“It’s pretty sensational and takes a little getting used to. You have to save it. If it’s not baby steps, it probably won’t last. I’m going to take another gel to get used to how it works so I don’t waste the good stuff. I bought it,” added a third.
How to use the kit
To use the kit, squeeze the hydration shower gel once and apply it to the target area of damp skin during the shower until it begins to foam. Add a few drops of Firming Body Oil if you want to make it slippery.
Next, grab the sculpting cup and find the three dots on the top and bottom that indicate where to press with your fingers.
Place your finger on the dot and gently press down and suction. Start with light to medium pressure, but don’t go too hard at first. If the pressure is too strong, remove the cup and adjust the pressure to a lighter level.
The best results come from consistency, not intensity. There should be no bruising.
Massage movements are determined depending on the target area.
Massage each area for 3 minutes, then rinse and apply a few drops of firming body oil.
The brand recommends drinking a glass of water after your massage to help detoxify your body and increase its effectiveness.
For best results, we recommend using the kit at the recommended strength every morning or evening for three weeks, then maintaining every two days thereafter.
