Mikel Arteta will appear before the press after Arsenal’s Premier League win over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The game started slowly for the Gunners, but they gave Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard early chances. But in the end William Saliba found his way to Declan Rice’s corner, allowing the floodgates to surely open.
Saka was given the chance to make amends for his penalty miss at the London Stadium last year by stepping up from the spot to double Arsenal’s lead after being brought down by Alphonse Areola at the London Stadium. .
Then, Gabriel headed home a set-piece from Rice, and Leandro Trossard scored Arsenal’s 8,000th league goal just before half-time, giving the Gunners four points in 15 minutes.
The team continued their momentum after the break, with Saka scoring their second goal with a stunning near-post finish and Arsenal their fifth. Rice then homered his sixth point from 30 yards remaining to round out the scoring.
You can hear Mikel Arteta talk about all this and more. football.london‘s Arsenal correspondent Kaya Kaynak talks in the live blog below.

There are things you have to earn within your team. It’s about trust from your teammates. The players on the bench were whispering to each other to bring him in, which is great.

Player evaluation
Declan Rice had found it tough in the last two games against West Ham, but he was outstanding today with two assists and a fantastic goal. He showed great personality, but so did Bukayo Saka’s use of the pen.
