The video shows a red bus parked on the side of the road with its hazard lights on and a crowd gathering next to it.
In the middle of the crowd, a tall man dressed in black is seen punching another man who is lying on the ground trying to protect himself.
The man on the ground appears to be the bus driver, and is believed to have been assaulted for unknown reasons after getting out of the taxi.
The footage shows the attacker throwing several punches while the man falls to the ground and raises his hands to protect himself from the blows.
As the crowd looks on, the sound of punches can be heard, but no attempt is made to help.
The man stopped his assault and picked up his backpack, leaving the other man on the ground muttering to himself.
Later in the video, the alleged bus driver yells after the attacker, saying, “Hey, where are you?” where are you going? Where are you going? ‘
He strode away toward another bus waiting at the stop, but the passengers followed him as if trying to hold him back.
The footage was shared on social media yesterday with the caption: “It’s terrible that another bus driver is being assaulted. More bus drivers being spat at, threatened and assaulted.”
“The driver should have stayed in the taxi. TfL let this go on for too long.”
The video received dozens of likes and comments from users on social media who were shocked by the brutal assault.
The Metropolitan Police and Transport for London (TfL) have been contacted for comment.
