Bangalore: Cyclist Anil Kadru, who was an inspiration to countless enthusiasts in the city and beyond, passed away on Friday morning due to a heart attack.
The 45-year-old fitness trainer, who is famous for riding 100km a day, recently marked the milestone of riding 100km a day for 42 consecutive months. On January 31st, he shared his accomplishment on social media. However, that night, Kazuru complained of anxiety and was immediately hospitalized. Unfortunately, he never returned home and died of cardiac arrest the following morning, February 2nd.
Tejasvi Surya, a BJP MP, expressed sadness over Mr Khadsuru’s death in a heartfelt message to X. He wrote: Anil, affectionately known as Century Rider because he has been riding 100 km every day for the past 1,500 days, is a well-known figure in south Bengaluru and a fitness icon for many young people like me.
