Some familiar faces were spotted supporting Gareth Southgate’s England team in their Euro 2024 match against Serbia in Germany on Sunday night.
England fan Andy Milne has been the subject of much discussion after being seen cheering on England at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, with some on social media claiming he resembles former England manager Steve McClaren.
The supporter has become a cult favourite among Three Lions supporters since he was photographed holding up a replica Jules Rimet Trophy in Qatar during England’s 3-0 win over Senegal.
He has also been nicknamed “World Cup Guy” by fans and was photographed cheering on England’s Lionesses during their 2023 Women’s World Cup campaign in Australia.
Milne, a former teacher, was also spotted cheering on Manchester United at the 2022 Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.
Milne was not about to miss another opportunity to support England in a major tournament and was spotted appearing on BBC Match of the Day coverage of the opening match against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.

He was seen cheering for the cameras before standing back to soak up the atmosphere at the Veltins Arena.
Fans were captivated by Milne’s enthusiasm for watching England, with one writing: “This man follows England everywhere!”
One person added, with a laughing face emoji: “This guy can really go anywhere!”
“He’s literally living the dream. What a guy,” another wrote, while one added: “I absolutely love this guy.”
But Milne has actually travelled all over the world to watch football, with Qatar being the eighth World Cup he has attended.
“This is my eighth World Cup but I’ve never played so many games,” he told the Mirror in 2022.
“This is a retirement gift to myself. I’ve been saving for four years.”
