with Palestinian flag

Ann amy winehouse The Statue of David in London was defaced and protesters covered the statue’s Star of David necklace with the Palestinian flag, sparking outrage among some people…but not necessarily among her own family.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators taunted a statue of the late singer during a large protest in London over the weekend, with one person placing a Palestinian flag sticker on Aimee’s portrait.

The statue depicts Amy wearing a Star of David necklace, a symbol of Jewish identity and Judaism, and the pendant was covered with a sticker of the Palestinian flag. Amy was British and Jewish.
Naturally, the internet is furious…people call the vandalism shameful, revolting and anti-Semitic.
mitch winehouse — But Amy’s father and administrator of her estate took a more measured approach, telling TMZ, “It wasn’t very nice, but it was just a sticker.”
Amy’s bronze statue in London’s Camden Market was unveiled in 2014, several years after her death in 2011, and fans often leave flowers to pay their respects.
It is unclear how long the Palestinian flag sticker was on Amy’s statue, but it has now been removed.
