Getting started

Ami has been very successful online, but where did her journey as a content creator begin?
“I started making acting videos when I was 12 years old and gained a small following through that. I made quite a lot of sounds that were songs, but also sad things that were ‘POV’. So… That could have been my scenario.” We made up and cried. I used to apply vapor rub under my eyes every day to make them cry.
“I think the older I get, the more I like makeup and skin care. When I was younger, I always said, “I don’t think I’ll ever be a makeup girl.”I always thought that way.”Then, as I got older, Over the years, I’ve grown to love skin care even more.
“I started having acne problems when I was a teenager, and I think that’s when I started thinking about ways to hide blemishes and achieve a natural look, like on TikTok, ‘Show your normal skin and get ready,'” she says. ”I had it.
“Since then, beauty, fashion and lifestyle have increased, but it also continues to be something that people can relate to.I think there are quite a lot of young people involved now, but since I started there have only been three. There are only 4 people.
“I love this platform, but it’s pretty unusual. I’m only 16 years old, so I want to continue to be a relatable presence. That’s what I’ve always wanted to achieve. It’s a goal.”
About the secret of success
What are Ami’s top tips for people who consider themselves something of a content creator?
“I think consistency is important, but it’s also important to give something back. Instead of just accepting everything and loving everyone who gives you love, it’s about following people back and engaging with your followers. Make sure to give something back, like fixing it. It’s all about me. All my life, I’ve been a fan of these guys and now we’re friends. All I did was post an edit with them. Just, once they responded to me, it made me feel really good, and that’s what I always want to give back to everyone else.
“And don’t worry about it. I feel like quite a lot of people care about what other people think of them. So why don’t they? I think I’ve thought this all my life. At school. You have to do it because of the people, but you have to develop the mindset that you don’t care what people think. It was tough, but we got there in the end!”
About career highlights
“It’s definitely my podcast. It’s my little baby. I started it in December, and the guests I’ve already had are guests who have made dreams come true. It’s a major milestone for me and , is something I would like to continue to grow if I can.”
Who is Ami’s dream podcast guest?
“I love Alix Earle. She’s my GRWM queen. Millie Bobby Brown, I love her. Maybe even the soccer player, but I love Leah Williamson.”
About self-care

What does the ultimate self-care Sunday look like for Ami?
“Sunday is just the perfect day. I always do my self-care on Sunday. Even if I’m at Arsenal until 7pm, I’ll go home and start my self-care.”
“I use hair syrup once a week. I love the Rapunzel one, it’s so good. I’m literally taking it right now. I love running my hair through it.”
“I love doing hair masks, taking baths, shaving my legs, tanning… I like to feel fresh in the morning and get ready for the next week. I also like to lie in bed, but I don’t like to sit still. I also like to do things. I stay in bed all day. I like to get up every once in a while and tidy up my room. I love shaving on my face…I do whatever I have to do that week.
“I always have teeth whitening strips in. I love the Hismile strips and Crest, which are now available in the UK.”
About skin care
“As I’ve grown, my skin has had its ups and downs. Some weeks I’m really happy with the way my skin looks, and the next week I’m really worried that my acne will come back. .In my case, my skin condition has gotten a lot better.”I’ve always wanted to use all the products they send me and the ones I see on TikTok, but they just don’t work and I just peel them off. I realized that it just comes out.
“Right now I only use four products: CeraVe’s Foaming Cleanser. Then I use The Ordinary’s Niacinamide Serum. Then I use La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Balm. I use that every day. .It got really bad.”I had blisters all over my face in response to the sun, so I used the balm and within two days, my skin was completely healed.
“Then I finish with Tatcha Dewy Cream. Oh my gosh, this is the best thing ever. I like to keep it simple and not use too much on my skin.”

About daily health habits

“My weighted hula hooping is 20 minutes a day, and I love it. For those 20 minutes, I just do hula hooping while watching something on TV. It may sound very strange, but it’s either in the middle of the night or early in the morning. I’ll do it on my turn.’ I love doing that in the morning if I have to. ”

“I also want to get back to identifying and writing down your daily accomplishments. I’ve been using a 5-minute journal since I was about 10 years old, when my sister gave it to me.
“My family always said it was very important to be grateful for what you have, and I always wrote it down in my diary. I don’t write much these days because I forget when I go to London.
