The “Happiest Place on Earth” for sugar lovers isn’t Disneyland. In fact, it’s a giant box store tucked away in a warehouse district in downtown Los Angeles.
Jax Candy, a sweet wonderland with over 90 years of history, packs its vast space with a huge variety of candy from all over the world.
Imagine if Willy Wonka decided to open his own Costco, that’s the vibe at Jax Candy: endless aisles brimming with colorful flavors all at unbelievable warehouse prices.
The story of Jack’s Candy dates back to the 1930s, when Jack Levy started the business with a pushcart full of sweets.
He began selling his candy at a bustling produce market in downtown Los Angeles, laying the foundation for a candy empire that continues to this day.
The Ahmed family took over in 1980 and 10 years ago moved the business to the comfort of a temperature- and humidity-controlled 50,000-square-foot warehouse just down the road from their original store.
“Over the years, we’ve expanded our range and selection,” Ahmed says. “We’re always on the lookout for what’s new and what’s trending.”
Walk into Jack’s Wonderland’s 50,000-square-foot warehouse and you’ll see 14,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs). By comparison, Costco stores only stock about 4,000 SKUs at any one time.
This isn’t just candy – it’s a party in store format. From giant piƱatas to festive party decorations and cake stands, we have everything you need to make any celebration a huge success.
Featuring a wide variety of candy from around the world, Jack’s Candy caters to every taste.
They boast that when you combine their product selection and store size, it will be the largest candy store in America.
