MWC 2024 was full of bold and innovative devices and ideas. From 6G technology to wrist-based gesture-controlled mice, see what I saw.
As Gadget Flow’s CBDO, I love seeing new technology released into the consumer market. At MWC 2024, we had the opportunity to experience first-hand the latest ideas and innovations that will impact our lives in the future. Let us give you an overview of his 2024 MWC in Barcelona.

6G talk has started
6G was on vendors’ minds at MWC 2024. The discussion points to a future where connections will be much faster than they currently function. We should see a seamless and secure network powered by AI integration and quantum security.
Integrating AI into online services
Google and Microsoft are leading the way in integrating AI into everyday technology with smarter, more intuitive capabilities. Google plans to introduce AI to its messaging services and captioning. We also plan to set new standards for accessibility and user experience.
Microsoft then uses the AI Access Principles to address ethical AI. These support a responsible approach to the future of technology.
Xiaomi electric car
Apple has reportedly ended Project Titan and withdrawn from car manufacturing. However, Xiaomi attracted attention at his MWC 2024 with the electric car Xiaomi SU7. It’s billed as a “full-size high-performance eco-technology sedan.” With this vehicle, the brand wants to introduce new performance and mobile smart spaces. I think this move is interesting because it shows the variety of strategies that tech giants can adopt within the auto industry.

urban air taxi
Air taxis are gaining attention this year. We saw the XPeng AeroHT land aircraft at CES in January. MWC also witnessed a Joby Aviation air taxi developed in cooperation with SK Telecom.
It is a five-seater aircraft and the world’s largest electric air cab. It has a top speed of 200 miles per hour and is quieter than a helicopter. Air taxis like this have the potential to change the way people commute in city centres.

Gadget Flow Expertise: The Coolest Consumer Technology
It was great to get a glimpse of the future at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, but we also saw a lot of cool gadgets in our field of consumer technology. Here are some of the best I’ve seen.
HONOR Magic6 Pro
Experiencing the HONOR Magic6 Pro first-hand was like holding the future of smartphones in my hands. This device’s AI-driven features and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor promise top performance and an intuitive user experience.

We were impressed with the Falcon camera system, which has a 180MP telephoto camera lens. It captures stunning images, has an elegant design, and boasts a durable HONOR NanoCrystal Shield screen.
Motorola’s rollable concept phone
If you’ve ever fantasized about a cell phone you could strap around your wrist, you’ll find the Motorola Adaptive Display concept phone exciting. Flexible displays can be bent into different shapes, such as a phone stand.
This is an interesting sign of a potential evolution in smartphone design, and a hint that you might not need to buy a separate stand for your smartphone in the future.

Blank phone (2a)
Scheduled to be officially launched on March 5th, the Nothing Phone (2a) also made an appearance at the 2024 MWC in Barcelona. The new phone continues the success of the Nothing Phone 1 and Nothing Phone 2 with a new, affordable design.
It differs in several ways from the original phone. First, the camera layout is horizontal instead of vertical, and it uses MediaTek’s process instead of Qualcomm’s. Additionally, the case is made of plastic instead of metal. This phone is Nothing’s attempt to make it more accessible to a wider range of consumers.
Samsung’s first smart ring
Samsung entered the smart ring market with the Galaxy Ring. This shows how compact and efficient health and fitness tracking technology can be.
While testing the Ring, its understated design and comprehensive tracking features from heart rate monitoring to sleep analysis, it felt like a logical extension of Samsung’s ecosystem.

Xiaomi CyberDog 2
Our interaction with Xiaomi’s CyberDog 2 at the 2024 MWC in Barcelona was truly special. It combines agility, AI, and advanced robotics to serve as your trusted AI home companion.
CyberDog 2 has a friendlier look than its predecessor and integrates a whopping 19 sensors. These allow us to see, touch, and hear. Of course, since it is compatible with the XiaoAI system, it can also be used to control home appliances such as TVs, air conditioners, and vacuum cleaners.
Lenovo transparent display laptop concept
Another standout gadget is Lenovo’s transparent display laptop, Project Crystal. The 17.3-inch micro-LED display is completely see-through, allowing you to overlay digital data onto physical objects.
It’s sleek, cool, and exactly what I expect future gadgets to look like. Sketching directly onto the surface of nano-optical glass felt like a combination of artistry and science fiction.

replace wireless tv
Displace wireless TV changes the game for home entertainment. The wireless design eliminates the need for cords or even traditional power sources. It can also be attached to the wall using a vacuum seal, rethinking the way we think about TV placement and aesthetics.
Meanwhile, the 55-inch 4K OLED display provides stunning visuals. The company also plans to release a new Display Mini with a smaller 27-inch screen size. Additionally, it may feature an AI-powered shopping engine that allows users to purchase products from your ad and pay using a contactless payment reader.
WowMouse for Pixel Watch 2 by Doublepoint
Using the WowMouse app on Pixel Watch 2 gave you a new way to interact with technology. This app turns your watch into a wrist-based mouse that works with your tablet, phone, and even computer using simple gestures.
Take wearable interactions to a whole new level. Additionally, WowMouse offers a new Gesture Touch app that allows users to easily interact with her AR/VR headset.
At Gadget Flow, we’re passionate about discovering and showcasing technology that changes people’s lives. The advances we saw at his 2024 MWC in Barcelona highlight that consumer technology is heading in an exciting direction. We can’t wait to see these products go from concept to reality.
