Adele has confirmed that she plans to embark on another world tour to coincide with the release of her next album, but admitted it won’t be anytime soon.
The 35-year-old singer sent fans into a frenzy when he hinted at his intention to return to touring earlier this month.
Her Weekend with Adele residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace is scheduled to end in June 2024, leaving her with a flexible schedule.
At her latest show on Saturday, Adele said she wanted to take her next album on tour, but also admitted she didn’t think she’d be writing new music for a while.
Her last album was 30, released in 2021, which was a huge success both commercially and critically, winning British Album of the Year at the 2022 Brit Awards, and being named British Album of the Year in 2022. It became the best-selling album.
Regarding her next album, Adele admitted, “I don’t think I’m going to write an album for the foreseeable future.”
But she promised the audience: “But next time I go, I’ll go wherever you live.”
This comes after fans got excited about Adele’s return to tour after she posted an emotional post on Instagram about her final show in Las Vegas.
Adele reflected on how she previously ‘fell in love’ with performing and how live shows have ‘changed’ since then [her] life’.
“I realized how much I enjoy being on stage, that I’m good at it, and that it’s 100% where I belong!” Adele wrote.
She ended her post with the words, “Let’s go one last time before we become showgirls forever!” I love you and I’ll see you on the other side soon x’.
Many interpreted her words to mean that more gigs may be scheduled after her residency ends.
“I’ll see you on the other side soon, what do you mean?
A third added: “See you on the other side soon,” while another wrote: “I’m crying in an international match so it’s better if we don’t play together this time.”
Last month, Adele explained why she takes such long breaks between albums while accepting an award at The Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment gala.
Since her 2008 debut album 19, she released three albums in four years from age 21 to 25, and went on to release six more before hitting 30.
Adele explained that being pregnant with her son Angelo made her realize that she didn’t need to constantly release new music.
She said: “Sometimes I wonder if people think I’m calculating because I’ve been missing and elusive for years. I believe that less is more, or something like that. I am.”
“But the real reason I only have four albums, and I don’t think a lot of people know this – they know I have kids – my son is 11 years old. is.
“So if you do the math, that means I got pregnant at the height of 21 years old. For many, that would be seen as career suicide, and it was.
“That’s when I decided to reject the rarity of success and the idea that you have to stay relevant to be successful.
And maybe, just maybe, you can become popular on and off stage. And you’ll never guess what happened – I fucking got away with it! ”
This was after it was reported that Adele had become like this. We are in advanced discussions about performing in London in the coming months. Two years since she last appeared on a British stage.
