I’ve been saying for years that our rapidly exploding population is the biggest political and social problem facing this country, but apparently not many people are listening.
That’s obvious. If more people come into this country each year than we build homes with, we’re going to have a problem.
If we don’t build more roads and the population grows, we will have problems.
At a time when the population is exploding again, with nearly 8 million people waiting to book an appointment for an NHS procedure.
Family doctors and hospitals are still unable to respond.
When Tony Blair came to power, Britain’s population was 58 million. The current population is 68 million, with 85% of the increase coming from direct immigration.
Latest development status
I’ve been playing this drum for years. But today the Office for National Statistics has released some predictions. I think this might wake you up.
They say the population will reach 70 million people in mid-2026. This is contrary to previous predictions from several years ago that it would not reach that number until 2035.
But they also say that between now and 2036 the UK’s population will grow by a further 6.6 million people, of which 6.1 million will be due to immigration.
Hilariously, the Home Office issued a statement this afternoon saying that there would be a dramatic and significant reduction in net immigration to the UK.
But these are the very people who have overseen tremendous growth.
But there’s one more thing in these statistics that really shocks me. We accept that this is a prediction, but remember that all previous predictions by the Office for National Statistics have turned out to be underestimates.
It is estimated that 13.7 million people will move to the UK long-term between 2021 and 2036.
And many retirees come from established families in the UK who have lived there for generations, in some cases centuries, before retiring to work or live in other parts of the world. These are the people who are leaving because of this.
It’s an issue that no one wants to talk about. But it represents an absolutely amazing cultural shift in our country.
The millions of people who have already come, and the millions who will come, have literally nothing in common, both historically and culturally, and that impacts our society. I believe the impact will be very serious.
I think a lot of people in Congress and the government know that, but no one actually wants to admit it.
