
A 66-year-old man was stabbed to death in a block of flats in north London.
Police were called to the common area of a flat in Lockhart Close, Enfield, yesterday evening.
The man was found with serious stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
DCI crime specialist Laura Nelson said: “The victim had been stabbed inside a flat in Lockhart Close and was found in a common area of the flat with serious injuries.
“We know local people are very concerned about this tragic incident and can assure you that our dedicated detectives are investigating.
“We will do everything in our power to find the person responsible for this murder.
“I would like to thank local residents who assisted officers last night and this morning as the investigation began.
“They will continue to have police forces operating in the area, including forensic officers and other specialists, who will assist with this painstaking murder investigation.”
