Liverpool are set to hold interviews with two other managers amid reports that Xabi Alonso is leaning towards Bayern Munich over the Reds.
The Reds are looking for a new manager after Jurgen Klopp announced earlier this year that he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the season.
Alonso has emerged as the front-runner among bookmakers, despite a number of other names being linked to the position.
The Spaniard has done an excellent job for Bayer Leverkusen this season, with Alonso leading the German team to the top of the Bundesliga, 10 points clear of second-placed Bayern Munich.
However, according to reports on Monday, Alonso “I would go to Bayern instead of Liverpool.” The former midfielder has concerns about continuing Klopp’s legacy at Anfield.
sky germany Reporter Florian Plettenberg said: “They have information that if he were to change, he would go to Bayern rather than Liverpool.”Alonso with Liverpool [Jurgen] Klopp’s legacy is a difficult figure. You are more likely to lose than win. ”

and now football insider insist Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim Following Alonso’s “blow”, German national team manager Julian Nagelsmann is also “scheduled for an interview.”
The pair said: “Amorim is expected to interview with Liverpool, and Nagelsmann is also in talks with the club.” It is highly likely that they will.”
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has also mentioned the possibility of a move to Anfield. But Monday’s report claimed that The Australian said: “I will reject all offers to leave this summer.”
Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has brought us an update on the future of Alonso, who has attracted interest from his former club Bayern Munich.
Romano writes in his book: Caught offside Column: “I know that Xabi Alonso is one of Bayern’s highly regarded players, but what impact does the speculation regarding the manager have on his current club, Bayer Leverkusen?” ” Of course they’re not happy with the speculation, but that’s part of the game.
“I can guarantee you that Bayer and Xavi himself are 100% focused on this season to make something historic and we can confirm that it has not had a negative impact on their form at the moment. Condition remains excellent.
“And remember, nothing has been done yet regarding Alonso or the other clubs because Leverkusen are focused on winning the title. It’s the same for Alonso.”
