Tammy PetersonThe wife of world-famous psychologist Jordan Peterson announced her conversion to Catholicism after praying the rosary daily with friends at the hospital while battling cancer.
Experts say Tammy had a zero percent chance of survival from a rare type of kidney cancer. Tammy is now free of her cancer and shared her own conversion story with Flynn.
“I felt like something was missing” when she grew up Protestant, Tammy said. “I later learned that my great-grandmother was Catholic and that my grandmother had changed her religion to United.”
Her cousin then gave her her great-grandmother’s rosary. Tammy now prays the rosary every day, which she says is her “practice.”
“Monumental things like this don’t happen every day,” she says. “But every day you’re going to take it out and pray about it. But someday you’re going to need it, and because you’ve been practicing, it’s going to be there.”
“Life is suffering,” Tammy continues. “When the world opens up and there’s nothing beneath you, you need something to hold on to.”
