Glastonbury may still be a few weeks away, but anyone serious about the five-day festival knows that the time to start planning is now. now. You don’t want to be rushing around the house days beforehand because there’s a good chance you’ll forget something or pack too many things you don’t need.
While there are some essentials you’ll need to attend the festival (tents, sleeping bags, camping mats, etc.), there are also some camping accessories that will make your time at Worthy Farm even more enjoyable. What are these gadgets? You may be asking, and we’ve rounded up seven of our favorites below.
1. Power Bank

At Glastonbury, your phone battery will be 100% depleted because you’ll be taking lots of photos, filming your favorite performances, and calling friends a lot when you get lost, which is why a power bank is one of the ultimate gadgets you should never forget. Not sure which one to buy? Best Power Bank.
2. Folding bucket
Showers aren’t available to most people at Glastonbury, so many people turn to baby wipes instead. But do you want a little extra cleaning? That’s where the collapsible bucket comes in. Compact and easy to store in your bag, it’s perfect for filling up with water and a bit of soap for a deep wash.
3. Duct tape
It’s not a flashy gadget, but it’s a must-have: If your tent rips, your air mattress rips a hole, or your tent pole breaks (hopefully), a roll of duct tape can get you out of a sticky situation.
4. Headlights

For camping trips A decent torchWhile a regular flashlight or camping lantern will do the trick, headlamps are preferred because they are much more efficient in terms of size and space, and they free up your hands so you can move around the tent more easily in the dark.
5. Handheld Fan
The weather in the UK is changeable and can change at last minute (which is why we recommend bringing a waterproof coat just in case), but if the weather is forecast to be hot, a handheld fan will help you stay cool in crowds and at night (we all know tents can get awfully hot).
6. Quick-drying towels
Towels are an essential accessory for any camping trip, but regular towels are big and bulky in your hiking backpack, adding extra weight. Quick-drying towels, however, are lightweight, compact, and (you guessed it) dry super fast so you can reuse them over and over again.
7. Earplugs

Getting a good night’s sleep at a music festival can be tricky, especially if you’re a light sleeper, so it’s worth investing in a decent pair of earplugs. Even if you’re far from the stage, you might end up sitting next to someone snoring, so it’s always best to be prepared.
