1) Smoked out eye makeup
MAC Cosmetics lead makeup artist Danielle Salström took inspiration from natural elements and experimented with smoked-out eye makeup. Taking inspiration from the elements, Daniel highlighted this eye makeup at Helmut Lang’s fall/winter fashion show. This heavily smudged eye had a very 90’s grunge vibe to it.
During PatBo’s show, global beauty director Charlie Riddle juxtaposed the “satin skin” concept with this dramatic smoked-out eye makeup created with layers of liquid eyeliner and black mascara.
This eye makeup was also spotted at Jason Wu’s Fall/Winter Ramp Show with two glamorous looks: gold eyeshadow and oversized black winged eyes.
2) Decorative hair ornaments
Unlike previous seasons that showcased lace braided hairstyles, this season of Fall/Winter 2024 New York Fashion Week began with creative ways to accessorize hairstyles. At Christian Siriano’s show, where she frequently appears on the runway, Redway was spotted sporting a “celestial box bang” hairstyle with gold flecks on top of a square updo.
This fun and futuristic hair design gives it a metallic look with gold leaf pieces adorning the top of the bun.

3) Cheeks flushed pink
Fall/Winter 2024 New York Fashion Week beauty trends once again focused on highlighted cheeks adorned with pretty pink blush. Barbie’s pink blush stole the show this season because the concept of “too much blush” never gets old.
For the Alice + Olivia Fashion Ensemble, Too Faced’s Global Beauty Executive Director Elise Renaud introduced this beauty trend with candy-toned blush on her models.
The perfect combination of pink blush, powdery blue eyeshadow, and long lashes gave this makeover a 1960s look. This makeup look was further spotted during the Cucculelli Shaheen show, which featured pink blush.
4) Big and good hairstyle
A key moment at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024, Marc Jacobs models took to the runway wearing voluminous disco-era hairstyles.
She experimented with this avant-garde aesthetic by adopting a big bouncy “half-up, half-down” hairstyle with the help of hairstylist Duffy and celebrity hair artist Lacey Redway.
Next, at Christian Cowan, hair artist Justin Marjan experimented with “expensive” hairstyles that oozed class. These oversized yet sleek, structured coils are shaped with a classic “roller set” before securing for a fluffy look.
5) Modified spider eyelashes
Celebrity makeup artist Diane Kendall went for a modified spider-like look with fake lashes during the Marc Jacobs runway show. She double-coated her eyelashes with black nail polish and gave her a “clogged, blocky” spidery eye makeup look.
Diane further accentuated and added dimension to her mod spider-like lashes with glossy black eyeliner and black duoglue.
6) Glass skin wet with dew
After Pat McGrath inspired the beauty industry with her porcelain doll and glass skin makeover at Paris Couture Fashion Week, the Fall/Winter 2024 New York Fashion Week features this super dewy make-up look at the Christian Siriano show. Every step was taken to implement the aesthetics.
Charlotte Tilbury’s team of professional artists blended layers of the brand’s makeup tools to highlight the models’ foreheads and cheekbones for a stunning finish. This similar dewy glass skin look carried over to her Puma runway show, courtesy of her makeup artist Isamaya Her French.

7) Super cool hair tattoo
This is a hair decoration that includes super cool hair tattoos interpreted by Collina Strada. To create them, global art ambassador Evanie Frausto inserted a small-sized hair ribbon and soaked it with hair gel.
He then gave each head a Collina Strada star shape on one hair side and fairy wings on the other. This full hair tattoo was then placed and layered using hair holding spray.
