Great value skin perfecter
“You’re glowing!” a friend exclaimed at a party last weekend, and I fully credit this budget-friendly skin tint for my glow. Classified as a skincare/makeup hybrid, it’s packed with tiny spheres of pigment floating inside a lightweight gel. The water-based formula provides quick hydration and is enriched with 0.5% bakuchiol (a plant-based ingredient often touted as a gentler alternative to retinol) and tranexamic acid (which helps fade dark spots). (as is known) becomes more effective over time.
I like to dot the gel all over my face and gently blend it with my fingers to release the pigment. Available in 8 colors. It’s very satisfying to see the formula melt into the skin, leaving a hydrated finish and evening out skin tone. The instant effect has subtle coverage that looks completely natural, but I find it easy to override areas where I feel I need more support, and it’s my new favorite when I want to dress up my face for both virtual meetings and conferences. You can rely on it. Actual outing.

Cheek with a juicy finish
It seems like every beauty product has a serum treatment these days, and I’m not mad about that. Considering how serums infuse all sorts of ingredients into your skin, allowing for an easy-to-apply, liquid-like texture, it’s a must-have. Case in point: This pint-sized tube delivers hydrating fruit extracts and plumping glycerin with clear buildable color and a slightly dewy finish.
Just blend a dab of Juicy Tint Gel (available in four shades) onto your cheekbones to instantly make your face look healthier. This has never been a better time of year.

Eyebrow booster with a focus on detail
As a long-time member of the Sparse Brow Club, I’m always on the lookout for arch aids to help fill in the gaps with ease. It can be a bit of a Goldilocks search. Inked pens are often too dark, many waxes have little bristles to grab onto and are therefore ineffective, and powders can look a little dusty and outdated. But this pencil has an extra-fine tip, so it’s just right. At just 0.8 millimeters wide, it’s the smallest tip on the market and is the key to creating thin strokes that look like real eyebrows.
No need to sharpen. Twist to pull the precision tip up into the protective plastic tube. When applied to the skin, the tube retracts to prevent the tip from breaking. I also appreciate that the longwear formula is water and stain resistant, so even my oily-combination skin stays fantastic day and night.

Super luxury face oil
Earlier this year, legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath stopped time and space with her next-level interpretation of glass skin at Maison Margiela’s haute couture show. It was a moment in artistry and innovation that reinforced the notion that brilliance is always the right answer. In my opinion, this ultra-premium face oil has the same idea but is much gentler on the skin.
Designed to fight dryness and dehydration, it’s packed with algae, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and, you guessed it, oils like sweet almond, avocado, sunflower, and jojoba. This mix has a gel texture rather than a traditional thick oil and is designed to transform your skin by rebuilding the epidermis’ lipid layer and reducing signs of aging by focusing on oxidative stress and cellular stagnation. The purpose is I like to apply this after my moisturizer and before my SPF, and I can see my brightness levels increasing after a few days.

winter skin savior
Was this winter surprisingly mild? True, but that didn’t stop the seasonal elements from attacking my skin barrier. Cold air outdoors and dry heat indoors can affect all types of skin, disrupting hydration levels and causing irritation, redness, and peeling. To stay ahead of the curve, I use this rich treatment at night. And it works. . The brand’s signature squalane is absolutely hydrating, but there’s a lot more going on here. In addition to skin-soothing peptides and magnesium, it also contains ectoine, a biofermented molecule known to fight environmental stressors and prevent inflammation.
Every time I use it, I wake up with not only softer skin, but visibly plump and restored. Especially great for stressed skin situations. I tested it after an evening ski trip and had great results. The nutrient-rich ingredients also pair well with the active ingredients in my nighttime routine, providing a gentle balance of exfoliating serum and retinol.
