BBC Sport will provide extensive live coverage from the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow as the world’s athletics talent descends on Scotland. Viewers can follow all the highs and lows live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
Gabby Logan will take over the BBC’s coverage from March 1 and the action will come fast and furious with 26 titles won over three days.
The BBC team includes 2012 Olympic heptathlon champion Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, 2000 Olympic gold medalist Dame Dennis Lewis, former world champion gold medal hurdler Colin Jackson, and 3rd London Marathon champion. This includes former world record holder Paula Radcliffe.
Commentators include former 1500m world champion Steve Cram, four-time European javelin gold medalist Steve Buckley, and Andrew Cotter. Former Team GB Olympic sprinter Janet Quake will receive all the reactions and news reports from the Mixed Zone.
Fans across the UK will be watching some of the world’s best, including Noah Lyles, who just won his third world title in Budapest last summer, 400m world champion and world record holder Femke Boll, and world record holder for men’s pole position. I’m looking forward to meeting many of the athletes. Vault, Armand Duplantis.
Britain’s medal charge will be led by 1500m world champion Josh Kerr, who will compete in the 3000m on Saturday night alongside fellow Scot Laura Muir. In the women’s pole vault, Britain’s Molly Corddry has jumped higher than anyone else this year and has a good chance of medaling, while Gemma Leakey will be hoping to end the weekend on her best performance in the women’s 800m.
