Denmark plans to become the first country in the world to impose an emissions tax on livestock from 2030, targeting greenhouse gas emissions from the country’s cows, pigs and sheep.Under the plan, farmers would have to pay about $43 per tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent their livestock emit, rising to about $108 in 2035.
