Sarah Becker is MTV’s real world The season 5 actress has passed away. She was 52 years old.
Becker appeared on the fifth season of the Miami-based reality show, and his family confirmed he committed suicide earlier this week at his Illinois home, according to TMZ.
Becker’s friends took to social media to remember her after learning of her death.
“Sarah Becker was pure sunshine….so full of energy and positivity and it was hard not to feel her warmth when you stood near her. Thank you for all our adventures and laughs. Big hugs to the entire Wildstorm family!” Daniel Norton posted on Facebook.
Responding to the post, Norton also said, “I think Sarah was the kind of person that once you met her, you were left with fond memories and funny stories. Things you could always look back on and share with whoever you were with. That was her power.”
TMZ reports that Becker moved to Illinois “last year to care for family” and had been “struggling with his mental health in recent months.” Becker was reportedly recently involved in a skateboarding accident.
Following the news of Becker’s death, another friend of the former reality TV star shared a photo of her with him on Facebook.
“I learned of the passing of one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known in my life, especially during those formative years. Her smile and bubbly personality come to mind every time I think of her. You were loved and you will be missed,” Joel Benjamin wrote on Facebook.
A friend of Becker’s shared her last Facebook post, dated June 14, in which she asked friends for dentist recommendations.
upon Real World: MiamiBecker described himself as “a 19-year-old trapped in a 25-year-old’s body.” During the season, Becker brought home a puppy, whom he named Leroy. Becker’s co-stars include Dan Lenzi, Melissa Padron, Joe Patane, Cynthia Roberts, Flora Alexeiun, and Mike Lambert.
