The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is set to be demolished as New York authorities prepare to remove a temporary stadium built as one of three U.S. venues for the ongoing T20 World Cup.
A video shared on social media by ANI showed bulldozers parked at the venue, demolishing the 34,000-capacity temporary stadium that was to host India’s three group matches, including the India-Pakistan match.
Wednesday’s match between India and co-hosts USA was the last to be held at the stadium.

The United States hosted 16 group stage matches along with fellow tournament hosts the West Indies.
Footage from inside the stadium after the India vs USA match had concluded also showed preparations being made to end the match in the stadium.
In the United States, there are two tournament venues: Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and the Stadium Turf Grounds at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida.
The second stage of the tournament, the “Super 8”, will see action move entirely to the Caribbean islands with the final taking place in Barbados on June 29th.
India’s seven-wicket win over the United States made it three wins in a row and saw Rohit Sharma and co book a place in the ‘Super 8’ with one game remaining in the group stage.
The Indian team will now travel to Florida to play their final group match against Canada, after which they will fly to the West Indies for the ‘Super 8’ and knockout matches.
