The first photos of Scotty Scheffler in prison have been released after his shocking arrest Friday morning.
As he was about to tee time at Valhalla for the second round of the PGA Championship, the world No. 1 player was detained after a misunderstanding with a police officer.
Later that day, photos of Scheffler inside the facility were obtained by TMZ.
A fellow inmate apparently secretly took a selfie with the PGA Tour star while he was talking to police officers.
TMZ also asked the person who was detained with Scheffler about his demeanor while in custody, to which he responded, “He kept saying he was bullish that he was there.”
Staff and police officers were also reportedly shocked by the golfer. According to TMZ’s sources, prison and correctional staff have been catching glimpses of Scheffler inside the prison.

After an unexpected start to the morning, Scheffler managed to squeeze through and make it to his 10:08 a.m. tee time. Scheffler birdied his first hole and shot a 5-under 66 for the championship.
It has been revealed that the fatal collision with a pedestrian occurred outside the club at 5:09 a.m. Due to a traffic stop caused by the accident, Scheffler was involved in a misunderstanding and ended up dragging the officer with his car.
After his release, Scheffler detailed the incident on his Instagram Story.
“This morning I was acting on the instructions of a police officer,” he wrote. “It was a very confusing situation, which is understandable given the tragic accident that had happened earlier, and there was a huge misunderstanding of what I thought was expected of me.
“I never meant to ignore instructions. Today I want to put that aside and focus on golf.”
Scheffler was charged with second-degree assault on a police officer, mischief, reckless driving and failing a traffic-directing officer.
However, prosecutors in Kentucky are reportedly expected to drop the charges.
