FIFA announced on Friday at the 74th edition of the tournament in Bangkok that the 2027 Women’s World Cup will be held in Brazil.
Brazil was considered the frontrunner for a joint bid by Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany (BNG) due to its stadium and capacity for participants and fans. Brazil hosted the men’s World Cup in 2014, but this will be the first time the women’s World Cup will be held in South America.
