We tested many TikTok products, but not all of them deserve the top spot. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not worth buying. Below is a list of some of our favorite great TikTok products of his, with a few caveats.
Stanley The Quencher H2.0 Flowstate 40oz Tumbler, $45: Stanley Quencher has taken TikTok by storm over the past few years. It’s easy to see why. They’re large, come in adorable colors, keep your drinks cold, and fit in your cup holder. The 2.0 version comes with a splash-proof lid and ergonomic handle. But earlier this year, after a growing number of complaints, Stanley admitted that its tumblers contained lead. Used to seal the vacuum insulation at the bottom of the cup. You don’t have to worry about exposure unless you drop or break your tumbler. However, as we see other water bottle brands discontinuing the use of lead in their products, we feel Stanley should do the same. Learn more here.
Dyson Air Straight $499: I used to be so scared because it takes an hour to style my hair. But thanks to Sky Strait (9/10, WIRED Recommended), my hair routine has been cut in half. Now it only takes her 12-15 minutes and her hair feels healthier. It has the same form factor as a standard flat iron, but uses a stream of air instead of a hot plate to both dry and straighten strands at the same time. The concentrated downward jet of air creates a natural and smooth finish. I usually use it in wet mode to completely dry my hair and then switch to dry mode to flatten out any bumps.
Famoplay Straw Covers (6 pieces) $7: Straws are great, but they can still attract bacteria and other things. Therefore, it is important to protect it. These adorable covers are easy to put on and easy to clean. There have been complaints online about it not fitting many water bottle straws, but it fits my 30oz and 40oz Stanley Cups perfectly.
Fruit Riot Frozen Candy (Sour Mango) $7: Fruit Riot’s frozen fruit selection is subject to fluctuating availability due to its diffusive nature. Unfortunately, I (Brenda) couldn’t get my hands on sour grapes, but I did find frozen mango and pineapple at my local ACME. It’s basically like a fruit version of Warheads. It’s true that some are more sour than others, so it’s difficult to eat a lot at once (unless you have a strong tolerance for sour candy). But it’s a great snack when you want to satisfy your candy craving while still sneaking in some fruit.
Therabreas Fresh Breath Oral Rinse $8:Before I saw Therabreath in FYP, I (Brenda) used Listerine all the time. However, it comes off easily, so I washed it all day with this. This is not the case with Therabreath. It feels like no matter what she eats, it lasts all day. I also like that it’s alcohol-free so it doesn’t burn. They come in a variety of options and flavors (even a children’s version), but I prefer Icy Mint. However, it’s more expensive than other mouthwash brands, and depending on how many people in your family use it, the price can start to add up over time.
Revair Reverse Air Dryer $399: We wouldn’t believe the video of RevAir sucking up, drying, and smoothing wet hair if we hadn’t tested it ourselves. Usage is simple. After a shower, placing damp hair on a vacuum-like wand for 60 to 90 seconds will dry and straighten your hair, cutting your styling time in half (or more) depending on your hair type. It can be shortened. WIRED product writer Medea Giordano still had to use a curling iron to smooth out her hair, but those with fine hair will find this to be a one-and-done tool. It’s expensive, but if you can afford it, it’s a great gift for someone who spends a lot of time getting their hair done.
KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfect Foundation Balm $42: This foundation will eliminate redness and dark circles, leaving you with an even base that is suitable for the rest of your makeup. It feels a bit heavy at first, but settles in nicely (a regular makeup sponge works best for application). It does stick to dry areas, but overall it worked well on our skin. Unlike many popular foundations, it also comes in a wide range of shades.
Bulk One Sunset Lamp $22: This little gadget can completely transform the look of a room. It’s also easy to set up. Place it on the floor, plug it in, and point it toward the wall. It creates a halo-like effect with a pop of rainbow color, making your space look great. Extra comfortable. However, it came with a short cord and I (Brenda) had to plug it into a power strip to get it where I wanted it. Also, avoid placing it in areas with a lot of movement, as it is easy to accidentally knock it over.
Upsky Dog Water Bottle $10: This water bottle is perfect for long walks with your dog. Unlock the bottle, press the button to dispense water, and let your dog drink from the trough. Anything you don’t drink goes back into the bottle as soon as you press the button again. It’s portable, leak-proof (thanks to the locking mechanism), and affordable. However, the drinking fountain is not large, making it ideal for pets with small to medium-sized noses.
Get Hatch Restore 2 for $200: Hatch Restore 2 is your bedside companion. He’s been talked about for his beautiful sunrise and sunset simulations, but he’s also one of our favorite sound machines and lamps. There are 18 colors to choose from, and there’s also a large brightness scale. When you sign up for a $5/month membership, you also get a large rotating library of meditation and sleep stories. Considering I’ve already spent $200 on the device itself, I wish more of these features were included without a membership.
Oura Ring $349: This ring started gaining attention on TikTok because it looks much more stylish and understated than smartwatches or fitness trackers. Although small and attractive, the sensor is accurate and sensitive. Our only complaint is that this third-generation version marks the beginning of the company’s push into a new subscription model. For $6 per month, you can access advanced features like personalized insights, guided meditations, and educational content. Without it, you’ll only get basic metrics like daily readiness, sleep, and activity scores.
