Stuart Bingham has dashed Ronnie O’Sullivan’s hopes of winning a record eighth World Snooker Championship title. Kyren Wilson, David Gilbert and Jack Jones also advanced to the semifinals. The tournament will be held at The Crucible from April 20th to May 6th. 2023 champion Luca Brecel lost to Gilbert in the first round.

The 2024 World Snooker Championship has progressed to the semi-final stage, with Stuart Bingham, Jack Jones, Kyren Wilson and David Gilbert all taking part, lifting the trophy on Monday 6 May.
Bingham, who won in 2015 and defeated Ronnie O’Sullivan in the quarterfinals this year, will face fellow qualifier Jones, while Wilson, the 12th seed and 2020 finalist, will face Gilbert.

What do you get for getting up to 147 breaks?
£40,000 is awarded to the player who makes the biggest break at the World Championships, with 14 breaks to date including two at the 2023 tournament.
Kyren Wilson achieved the feat in the opening game, but Selby became the first player to hit 147 in the finals in an 18-15 loss to Bressel.
