Gardener’s World star Monty Don tragically revealed last year that his dog Nell died of cancer, three years after losing his golden retriever Nigel.
And now the 68-year-old famous gardener has taken to social media to share a sweet garden tribute to his canine friend with his followers.
The sweet snap featured several flowerpots filled with brightly colored tulips, one of which had Nell’s name inscribed next to the outline of a dog.
He captioned the post, “Nelpot (hard to read, but it’s there).”
The latest tribute to Nell is very similar to an earlier memorial unveiled in memory of the presenter’s late golden retriever, Nigel, who passed away in 2020.
Monty’s Instagram snap has since racked up more than 20,000 likes and sparked warm reactions from fans in the comments section.

This comes after Monty tragically revealed the loss of his beloved dog Nell in October last year.
The presenter shared the tragic news on social media, which came four months after his colleague was diagnosed with cancer.
Monty, who is known for his love of dogs and regularly invites his furry friends to share screen time with him, shared the sad news with his 1 million followers on Instagram and thanked them for their support in a follow-up post. I was grateful.
He said: “I was going to tell you about my new book coming out next week, but my dear, dear Nell passed away last night, so that will wait.”
“She was diagnosed with cancer in June, and every day this summer has been a gift, but it’s over.”
He added: “We buried her in the garden next to Nigel wrapped in my jacket with flowers, a ball and her favorite biscuits.
“While her end was peaceful and dignified, ending her obvious suffering, it could not have been any easier to endure.
“Life goes on, but for now we are very, very sad.”
Fans took to Instagram to send messages of condolence and comfort to the famous green-fingered presenter, who has appeared on British screens for more than 30 years.

Yet another fan paid tribute to her as a screen icon alongside Monty. Nell has been appearing on Gardener’s World since 2016.

“Thank you for all the kind messages about Nellie,” Monty wrote in a post filled with photos of his beloved dog on Sunday morning.
“Today I will plant a primrose on her grave and take Ned for a long walk in the flood. She is gone, but love remains.”
Monty sadly said goodbye to his golden retriever Nigel in 2020, but now has two other dogs, Ned, another golden retriever, and Yorkshire terrier Patty.
