Kmart Australia has relaunched its popular heated blanket in stores just in time for winter.
The Sherpa Heated Throw has been described as “elite” by customers who already have an affordable product that acts as a cheaper alternative to regular heaters.
Priced at just $39, the throw quietly returned to shelves, with shoppers flaunting their purchases on social media.
Sophie, from Sydney, bought the throw on short notice last week and called it “the best money I’ve ever spent”.
“Honestly, just go to Kmart and get these hot Sherpa throws. They’re so cozy,” she said on TikTok while curled up in a blanket.
“The temperature has dropped below 30 degrees.” [Celsius] “Being in Sydney it feels like winter has arrived and it’s hibernation time,” Sophie said.
“Now that I have this blanket, I will never leave the house again.”
While typical heaters often consume as much as 2,000W of power, which can quickly add up to your electricity bill, this product consumes only 100W.
The Kmart version is also very inexpensive compared to other versions that sell between $55 and $199.
Designed with a removable controller, variable temperature settings, and a 12-hour timer.
Last month, customers also noticed the return of the “must-have” $20 OXX Essentials microwaveable slippers, but not everyone was on board.
Bella, who lives in Adelaide, spotted the latest additions while browsing local stores and bought a pair.
“Kmart has done it again with microwavable slippers for winter,” she wrote on TikTok, sharing the video.
This short video quickly caught the attention of the public, with many declaring, “I can’t wait to go to Kmart.”
However, many people questioned why people would want to put slippers in the microwave for storing food.
