For years, we’ve been able to rely on Katy Perry when it comes to vintage hairstyles. with her longtime nod to her trademark black-haired pin-up beauty. She’s given us plenty of movie star curls, chunky fringe, and, of course, bouffants and beehives. But her latest beehive is a little different and changes her style.
Katie, who posted the look on her Instagram grid, wore her hair in a half-up, half-down beehive style with long flowing black locks. The front is sharply divided in the middle for several inches and tapers down from that point to each side, while the rest of the part runs straight back to form the fluffy part of the honeycomb. But what makes it stand out is its narrowness. Or should I say, what makes it stand up?
Created by L.A. hairstylist Rick Henry, this parted front supports this slim tower of hair, curling and lifting the sides of the hair to create this theatrical height that starts just above the ears. It creates hair. We don’t know if we’ve seen a style like this before, but we’re obsessed with it.
Her hair, with a theatrical vintage vibe, was perfect with her sparkling pink dress covered in feathers. This was completed with a shimmering pink full glam he look by MUA Marc Anthony and a sweet French she manicure by one of our favorite hes, Kim Truong. All this pink and sparkle is straight out of your childhood fantasies, but the look isn’t childish at all, and the statement hair helps give it a stylish look.
