If the secret to long-lasting love is having common interests, Diane Buswell and Joe Sugg seem to have it figured out. As well as sparking a romance over their shared passion for dance, the Strictly Come Dancing lovebirds now have a new mutual obsession: skincare.
The pair recently moved into a £3.5million house near Brighton, but Diane said social media star Joe wasted no time in claiming a share of her beauty cabinet. “The bathroom is bigger, and Joe and I both have our own skincare routines,” says Diane, a professional dancer who has just been named a New Nordic Ambassador.
“What’s cute is that Joe is also serious about taking care of his skin. He started asking me questions about it, he’s been seeing the same dermatologist as me, and now he’s just as serious about taking care of his skin as I am. I get a lot of products. But sometimes he’ll scratch my stuff!”
Couples are even sharing a trendy home treatment known for its complexion-enhancing, detoxifying effects and somewhat unglamorous side effects. “I invested in installing an infrared sauna in my home,” says Diane. “It’s a small cabin, but Joe and I fit in there nicely and comfortably. You sweat a lot so you have to be very aware of the people you’re sitting with, that’s for sure!”
However, there is one area in the new home that is reserved just for Diane’s beauty routine. “The laundry room has become my place to dye my hair!” she laughs. “I was sent there to wash and color her hair because red can get dirty and it’s the only room with a black sink.”
Diane famously vowed to ditch her signature red hue if she won the final season of Strictly, and although Glitterball avoided her and Bobby Brazier, she’s still keen to see the change. I’m aiming. “I love red hair, especially in Strictly. I realized that it really brought out my personality when I was dancing,” she explains. “But I love brunette too, it’s my natural color and suits me. So never say never.” ”
But one vow she continues to keep is to continue taking better care of her skin than she did in her 20s. “As I got older, I realized I had to do it,” the 34-year-old says. “I think I was a little disrespectful when I was younger. I wish someone had told me, ‘Your skin is so important, it’s what we live for.'”
She currently uses the 4-step New Nordic regimen, which is based on the moisturizing powers of hyaluronic acid. “I like my skincare to be quick and easy, so this is perfect,” she says. “I take Hyaluronic Shots (£33.95) daily and use Hyaluronic Active Serum (£34.95), Hyaluronic Active Cream (£49.95) and Hyaluronic Eye Cream (£34.95). Noticing the difference, even Strictly’s make-up artist says: “Wow, Di, your skin looks glowing.” I almost feel younger now than when I first started Strictly. ”
For now, Diane said she’s happy to be able to get hyaluronic acid through skin care rather than through needles. “I haven’t had Botox or fillers yet, but Profhilo is something I was told about by Dr. Dill, a woman I see with great skin. It’s probably something I’ll consider in the future. .”
Her salon visits now focus on treatments for smoother skin texture and overall glow. “I had quite a bit of acne scarring and pigmentation, so Dr. Dill did microneedling on me. It was one of the best things to do for the small breaks in my skin,” she says. Masu. “It’s also very rejuvenating. I do microneedling and vitamin drips, which absorb into my skin well. Before I started filming ‘Strictly,’ I went through a course to look beautiful and fresh throughout the series.” I often take a course and then take another one when I seem tired at the end. Just restart everything. ”
Inside Diane’s beauty cabinet
New Nordic Hyaluronic Eye Cream
After using New Nordic Hyaluronic Shots and skin care, I noticed that my makeup went on much better. My skin feels more hydrated, so I don’t have to worry as much about wrinkles or dryness when applying powder under my eyes.
garnier micellar water
Since you’ll be wearing makeup on Strictly, cleansing is very important. Some detergents irritate me, but I find micellar water to be very gentle and gentle. The one I use is Garnier. I’m much better at cleansing now than I was before. Only once in this last series did I come home at a bad time and fall asleep with makeup all over my face. That was the worst decision.
Maria Nila Color Refresh, Bright Red
I change my hair color all the time, sometimes I like a more gingery color and sometimes I like a more vibrant color. It’s easy and doesn’t need to be done as often as people think. I try to keep the roots as long as possible. In between colors, add this reddish conditioner to your mid-lengths and ends to intensify the color a little.
