YSL Beauty has appointed Dua Lipa as its global makeup ambassador to expand its makeup reach.
The Grammy Award-winning singer will star in the campaign for YSL Loveshine, the French luxury cosmetics brand’s new light-focused lip collection.
The campaign, shot in Morocco by director Nathalie Canguilhem, features Lipa wearing the series’ new nude Love Shine Wet Shine lipstick.
A statement from the L’Oréal-owned brand said Dua was chosen because she is “the perfect woman to lead a new generation of makeup consumers.”
YSL Beauty’s international general manager Stephan Besey said he expects her to bring an “electrifying energy” to the brand’s makeup products.
“We encourage women to express who they are and what they represent, not just with makeup.
“Her influence is an empowering manifesto that celebrates individuality and encourages everyone to confidently embrace their unique beauty.”
YSL Beauty temporarily deactivated Instagram last week in anticipation of this announcement, and all previous posts were deleted before today’s teaser.

Ripa has been an ambassador for the brand’s Libre fragrance franchise since 2019 and is “thrilled” to further expand her role at YSL Beauty.
“For me, fragrance and makeup are another form of self-expression,” Ripa commented.
“It’s a way to explore my playfulness, creativity and individuality.”
The campaign will debut this week across out-of-home (OOH), connected TV, paid social and digital advertising.
Loveshine Wet Shine Lipstick will be available online on March 15th and in stores at the end of the month.
A wider range of nude colors from the collection will be unveiled in April.

“And now we’ve introduced a new classic formula with more thoughtful benefits, on-trend colors and luxurious packaging.”
YSL Beauty has recently expanded its ambassador program to expand its reach.
